4 Tips to Help Fresh Graduate Get Job Offers

1. Develop "Soft Skills"

In working life, aside of having a good technical and experience in the field; you will also need to have and develop your soft skill. Many companies found that when it comes to hiring a fresh graduate, most of all employers view communication and teamwork skills as well as having positive attitude. Those "soft skill" will demonstrate how well a person can fit into the company's culture.

 

2. Search using Every Resource Possible

Most students and young professionals think that social networking such as Facebook and LinkedIn are the best route to find job. Well, it can't be 100% guarantee you will get job easily using both of social networks. You will need to find job vacancy from job portal, attending career fairs, and your personal and professional network. Lastly, don't feel embarrassed to ask family and friends for referrals too.

 

3. Focus on the Job You're Most Passionate About

Many companies have turned down their applicants during interview because they are not showing that they are eager to join the company and have a bad attitude. If you want to have higher chance to get hired by the company, you will need to apply for the job you're really excited about and show positive attitude during the interview.

By using this approach to get a job, you will have more positive energy. And if you are nervous during your interview, it shows that you care about the interview. If you apply to the job you like most, you will be more prepared for the interview and you'll follow up faster with the hiring manager, it will enhance your chance to get hired by the company.

 

4. Prepare Yourself before Interview

When you get a call or e-mail for interview from the company you have applied to, you will get excited and worried about the interview which will be held. It's a normal feeling when you get a call for interview, since you are hoping to be part of the company anyway.

Here is standard advice for you as a job applicant that most of fresh graduate doesn't really bother to prepare. Before going to the interview, you will need to prepare yourself in answering the question that might come during the interview and also you need to do research about the company you have applied to. You will need to know about what's company main business, history of the company, and prepare some question you will ask to the interviewer about the company or the job you are applying, it will show that you are interested to be part of the company.
