5. Coding/Web Skills

Knowing how to code is always a good skill. It gives you an advantage over other candidates, regardless of the position. This is because in today’s tech-driven world, understanding the basics of coding means you will spend less time trying to troubleshoot your tools and more time working. Also, it gives you a more logical framework in terms of how you can process or plan out things. It can help you explain your ideas in a simpler, more direct fashion and also communicate better with people from tech-heavy backgrounds. Also, with these skills you could always create your own webpage/blog showcasing your work/writing/art, or even have a more creative resume when you apply for jobs and internships!
