ICSC2017: Meet your Future CEOs

University of Malaya Accounting Club (UMAC) recently hosted a competition-based event that gathered future business leaders and shakers. From 3-4 March, at the University of Malaya school grounds, 60 participants from a various of public and private universities across Malaysia battled it out in the Intervarsity Corporate Strategy Challenge 2017 (ICSC2017). 

As with its previous rounds, ICSC 2017 will incorporate various aspects of the business world, with challenges and workshops involving business credentials, networking, corporate sustainability etc. pushing students towards becoming the future of successful entrepreneurship and corporate leadership, while giving back to society with fresh and innovative ideas as well.

This year's winners are:

• The Champion Corporate Strategist - The Greater Fool from UNIMAS
• 1st Runner-Up - The 4 Joules from Heriot-Watt University Malaya
• 2nd Runner-Up – Infinite from UUM 
• The Most Impressive Participant – Roshaneswaran from The 4 Joules

Aside from the competition, the event also featured a forum session, titled Leaders’ Insights: Active Players In Times of Global Changes. Moderated by Ehon Chan, Executive Director of Social Entrepreneurship from Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC), the students were given an insight on what their roles especially in the fast-paced business world of today. It was a chance for them to get up-close and personal with the three panellists from various business industries -- Sharszany Shahry, from MAMEE-Double Decker Sdn. Bhd., Melissa Tan, from OnPointe PLT, and Natasha Kamaluddin, Advisory Partner from Ernst & Young Advisory Services. The panel shared their views and experiences on various topics, which gave a light on the pathway of the future corporate leaders.
