Interestingly, the ranking system reflects how underpresented women are in business schools as only Leeds and Fudan University have women account for more than half of the student population. Furthermore, there is pay gap between women and men after graduation from an MBA programme. Female graduates experience an increase from 14% before an MBA to almost 20%. This pay gap may be due to the fact that most senior roles are male-dominated.
In terms of salary, the survey reveals that graduates of Stanford Graduate School of Business command the highest salary today at USD185,939, followed by University of Pennsylvania: Wharton (USD177,287), Harvard Business School (USD172,275), and University of California at Berkeley: Haas (USD169,395).
