If so, then Durham University in England has just the class for you!Its Harry Potter And The Age Of Illusion doesn’t really teach spells and Quidditch. Instead, this class places the phenomenon of Harry Potter in its social, cultural and educational context. Examples of topics discussed include Prejudice and intolerance in the classroom and ‘Gryffindor and Slytherin’. Finally, Harry Potter is worthy to be a serious study!

The zombie apocalypse of "The Walking Dead" has invaded academia. The flesh-eating undead is now the focus of a new media course at the University of Baltimore titled Zombies. You will learn how literature and mass media work by writing horror scripts, watching zombie flicks and drawing storyboards of their ideal monster movies. You even get to watch classic zombie horror films like George A. Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead” in class. How cool is that!

Coursework includes and understanding of how popular music studies has changed over the past half century, also provided a great insight into the impact The Beatles had and still have to this day across all aspects of life.. The world’s only master’s degree on The Beatles - really.
