Entry Requirements

Minimum Requirement on English Competency:

  • IELTS- with an overall score of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6)
  • TOEFL- Minimum score of 550 including TWE of 5 (or a Computer based TOEFL score of 213 with an essay rating of 5 or better)
  • TOEFL iBT- Minimum Score of 70 (no individual score less than 17)
  • GCE O Levels- Grade C or better
  • WAUFP- 50% plus pass in ELACS
  • TEE- pass in English or English Literature
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma- Minimum Grade 3 at higher level for an English subject
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE)- PTE Academic 57 (with no scores less than 50) for those courses with a current requirement of IELTS 6.0 and a PTE Academic 64 (with no scores less than 58) for those courses with a current requirement of IELTS 6.5.
  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE)- A score between 52-57 with no less than "Borderline" in any element of the test
  • Language Links- Successful completion of the Certificate IV at Competent Level to meet minimum requirements for entry into undergraduate ECU courses
  • Other acceptable qualifications can be obtained from ECU International
