Entry Requirements
- Secondary school diploma or an IB diploma
- One of the following English language requirements:
- TOEFL with a minimum score of 80 for the Internet-based test, or minimum score of 550 for the paper-based test, or minimum score of 213 for the computer-based test.
- IELTS with an overall Band Score of 6 or above
- Grade 4 or above in English for applicants with IB qualifications
- Grade C in GCSE/IGCSE/GCEOL English
- Additional documents depending on the programme (reference letter, portfolio or CV)
Curriculum
- The foundation subjects during Year One include Basic Mathematics I - Calculus and Probability & Statistics, Basic Mathematics II - Calculus and Linear Algebra, and Physics I & II.
- In Year Two, students study the subjects including Introduction to Enterprise Computing, Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering Techniques & Methods, Design for Manufacture & Sustainability, and Systems Modeling & Simulation.
- In Year Three, students study the subjects including Operations Research I, Materials & Processes Selection, Product Safety & Reliability, Planning for Production & Service Systems, Engineering Management, and Integrative Studies in Product and Process Design (ISPPD)/Multidisciplinary Project. ISPPD involves laboratory work and team projects.
- In the Final Year, students undertake an Individual Project and also study the subjects Engineering Costing & Evaluation, Project Management, Enterprise Resources Planning, Total Quality Management, Society & the Engineer, plus Elective Subjects. The Individual Project is industrial related. For Elective Subjects, students can choose from a wide range in two areas: Product Technology, and Operations Management & Quality.
- Supporting subjects include Language and Communication Requirements subjects and Cluster-Area Requirements subjects.
