Entry Requirements

English Language Requirements

  • For those applicants who are nationals of and currently residing in a country where English is NOT the official language, evidence of an IELTS or TOEFL test must be provided.
  • Alternatively, applicants can provide evidence that English has been the sole medium of instruction and examination in their most recent studies, for a minimum of 2 years, and within the last 24 months. Academic transcripts and a letter from your institution will be required. Those applicants who are nationals of and currently residing in a country where English is the official language, may be exempt from the 2 year validity period.

Academic Requirement - Undergraduate

  • Admission to undergraduate courses at UTAS requires qualifications equivalent to the 12th year of schooling in Australia. We have provided a list of countries and their academic qualifications that meet the University's minimum entry requirements.
  • Applicants must achieve the required grade in their studies, meet prerequisite subjects and the English language requirements to be eligible for an offer.
  • Basic entry requirements for most undergraduate programs can be viewed by clicking on the links through theinternational course list. Students who do not meet these requirements may enrol in the UTAS Foundation Studies Program.
