About

This program equips students with the knowledge and skills to create conceptual artwork and digital assets for the film, gaming, and visual effects (VFX) industries. Through a dynamic and creative process, students will develop expertise in 2D concept art, 3D digital modeling, green screen compositing, and visualization techniques.

With input from industry professionals, including those from renowned UK companies such as Aardman Animation, students will gain real-world insights into the industry. They will also have the opportunity to attend key industry conferences in Year 2, providing valuable networking and recruitment opportunities. Additionally, the program fosters essential organizational and communication skills, preparing students for teamwork and production pipeline management within the VFX industry.

Entry Requirements

Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree

STPM

  • A Pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects.

A-Level

  • 2 Passes (Grade A-D) in A-Level.

UEC

  • 5 Grade B’s in UEC.

Matriculation/Foundation

  • A Pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

Note: Pass an Interview OR submission of Design Portfolio as required.

Direct Entry to Level 2 of the Degree

Related Diploma

  • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent.

  • A pass in DKM / DLKM / DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate/Academic Board’s approval.

Additional Notes

Equivalent qualification and/or experience which is recognised by the Senate/institution.

The above entry requirements may differ for specific programmes based on the latest programme standards published by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The qualification and entry requirements for the programmes will be determined based on the "Comparison List of Equivalency of International Qualifications with SPM (O-Levels equivalent) and STPM (A-Levels equivalent)" published by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
