BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance with a specialism in Forex and Investments

This course equips students with specialized knowledge of the money market and investment alternatives while fostering intellectual capability, research skills, and creative thinking to navigate the ever-changing business environment. The program provides essential skills, core competencies, and knowledge for success in the fast-paced business world, along with maximum exemptions from professional accounting bodies. Students will gain proficiency in financial reporting, leadership, and organizational guidance while integrating emerging technologies in accounting and finance, with a strong emphasis on soft skills development from Year 1.

Direct Entry to Level 1 of the Degree

STPM

• 2 Passes in STPM with a minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM Level or its equivalent.
• Note: Candidates who have obtained a Pass in Mathematics, but do not have a Credit Pass in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE or equivalent, need to take a Pre-Requisite Mathematics module before enrolment.

A-Level

• 2 Passes (Grade A-D) in A-Level in any 2 subjects, and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or its equivalent.
• Note: Candidates who have obtained a Pass in Mathematics, but do not have a Credit Pass in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE or equivalent, need to take a Pre-Requisite Mathematics module before enrolment.

UEC

• 5 Grade B’s in UEC including Mathematics.
• Note: Candidates who have obtained a Pass in Mathematics, but do not have a Credit Pass in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE or equivalent, need to take a Pre-Requisite Mathematics module before enrolment.

Matriculation/Foundation

• Passed Foundation programme (minimum CGPA of 2.5) with a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE or equivalent.
• Note: Candidates who have obtained a Pass in Mathematics, but do not have a Credit Pass in Mathematics at SPM/IGCSE or equivalent, need to take a Pre-Requisite Mathematics module before enrolment.

Entry to Level 2 of the Accounting, Banking or Finance Degree

Diploma in Accounting

• Passed Diploma with minimum CGPA of 2.5 and a Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level/IGCSE level.

Internship (16 weeks)

At APU, students are encouraged to be entrepreneurial and innovative. After the completion of Level 2, students will undertake a short internship/industrial training of a minimum of 16 weeks.
