To guide students into completing their Ph.D. in this course, students will be assisted by a number of highly qualified supervisors. Other than that, they will be exposed to the latest research topics particularly in the fields of computing and business administration. Regular research workshops, colloquium, and seminars by true professionals, both local and international will be held for the students' own benefits to help in building their researching. This program is available both Full time (3 years) and Part time (4 years).

Entry Requirements

Minimum Entry Requirement

  • A Master's degree in a related field accepted by the APU Senate.
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's degree that are accepted by the APU Senate.

Note: The above entry requirements may differ for specific programmes based on the latest programme standards published by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

    • Submit a detailed proposal document
    • Presentation to the examination panel
  • Progress Monitoring / Mid-Candidature Defence

    • Every 6 months until thesis submission (May & November)
    • Progress reporting and presentation on progress
    • Evaluated by a panel

End of Candidature

  • Work Completion Defence (WCD)

    • 6 months before the minimum candidature period
    • Submit draft thesis
    • Presentation of completed work
  • Submit Thesis for Examination

    • Before the maximum candidature period
    • Comb-bound thesis copies submitted for examination
  • Viva Voce

    • Upon receipt of all examiners’ reports
    • Presentation of completed work to the Examination Board
