About
The Advanced Diploma in Paediatric Nursing program at MAHSA University is a one-year post-basic nursing program intended for students who have earned a nursing diploma, have some relevant job experience, and are particularly interested in nursing infants and children. Students who complete this course will have the knowledge and abilities necessary to meet the nursing requirements of their parents, families, and newborns and children in particular. Additionally, students will learn how to treat their patients with the proper attitude and to show that they care about them.
Students will graduate from the program with the skills necessary to provide children of all ages with primary nursing care, rehabilitative and palliative care, and need-specific medical attention. They will be prepared for work at any medical facility, including specialised paediatric hospitals.

Entry Requirements
Malaysian Candidates:
- Possess a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by the MNB (Malaysian Nursing Board).
- Registered with the MNB.
- Possess a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) for nurses from MNB.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical working experience.
International Candidates:
- Possess a Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by the MNB (Malaysian Nursing Board).
- Registered with the Nursing Council of the country of origin.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical working experience.
- Pass IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5 / TOEFL with a minimum score of 515 (PBT) / 215 (CBT) / 80 (IBT).
- Permitted for International candidates and Female nurses only.
- International graduates of this program are not allowed to practice in Malaysia.
- Graduates are allowed to sit for the examination and register with the MNB.
Health Requirements (All Candidates):
- Must be certified medically fit by a registered medical practitioner within ONE MONTH from the commencement of the nursing program.
- Candidate MUST NOT have any physical disabilities or impaired senses that hinder nursing dexterity.
- A person with any of the following shall be disqualified from entry into a nursing program:
- Serious physical or mental illness, and/or
- Serious communicable disease.
