About
The post graduate programmes LLM by research and PhD draw on the research strengths of the faculty’s academic staff who are active researchers in a wide area of national and international issues, legal reform and development. The LLM by research and PhD programmes allow maximum flexibility by allowing the candidate to choose a topic of personal interest. Careful guidance is given throughout. The close-knit research community, offers, continuous support and with the advantage of small-group teaching, there is scope to explore topics in depth and nurture and hone research skills to realise one’s full potential. Additionally, MMU's strong links with the legal profession, judiciary, AG’s Chambers and industry will enable students to grow their networks and enhance their employability in preparation for a successful legal career.

Entry Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Law or related fields with minimum CGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 or its equivalent qualification as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in Law or related fields not meeting CGPA of 2.75 but above 2.50 out of 4.00 or its equivalent qualification can be accepted by HEP Senate subject to rigorous internal assessment; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in Law or related fields below a CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or its equivalent qualification can be accepted by the HEP senate, subject to a minimum 5 years working experience in the relevant field.
English Entry Requirement:
Minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.0 or its equivalent*

The English language requirement is waived for the candidates who are natives of and/or have completed their Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees from countries that use English as the medium of instruction as well as the first language.
