Sunway’s Diploma in Nursing blends traditional education with advanced technological methods. This program is designed for individuals passionate about promoting the health and well-being of others. Throughout the course, students will explore essential medical and nursing topics, including human anatomy and physiology, nursing care, as well as supportive subjects like communication and counselling.
The program focuses on developing skills in care, empathy, and teamwork, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care. Graduates from Sunway University’s nursing program will be well-prepared as knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate healthcare professionals.
The program includes both theoretical and practical evaluations each semester over the three-year duration. Upon successful completion and passing the licensure exam, students will receive certificates from both Sunway University and the Nursing Board of Malaysia. Additionally, students have the opportunity to apply for a sponsorship from Sunway Medical Centre, which offers financial support for their nursing studies and guarantees employment after graduation.

Academic requirements
SPM
- Pass with a minimum of 5 credits (including Bahasa Melayu, English, and Mathematics)
- Candidates with a credit in either one (1) of the following: Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science and credit in one (1) other relevant subject
O-Level
- Pass with a minimum of 5 credits (including English, Mathematics, Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science)
- All local candidates who possess GCE ‘O’/’A’ Level MUST possess credit in Bahasa Melayu
Unified Examination Certificate
- Pass with a minimum of 5 credits (including English, Mathematics, Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science)
- All local candidates who possess UEC MUST possess credit in Bahasa Melayu
