Given the range of global mobility study opportunities available at Taylor's University, a new "Invest Locally: Study Globally" advertising campaign is set to highlight the many options. Whether it’s a short-term mobility 'summer school' to South Korea, spending an exchange semester in Germany, having a year abroad in Australia as part of a dual degree, transferring to the USA for two years through our American Degree Program (ADP), or following an articulation pathway to one of our UK partner universities - then it’s Taylor's University that offers the range of global opportunities for Malaysian students. As Professor Perry Hobson, the PVC for Global Engagement points out, "We already have more than 85-exchange partners and more than 40+ articulation partners – of nearly all of whom can be found in the QS Top 400 Global Rankings. Furthermore, over 85% of our ADP students transfer to Tier-1 universities in the USA". Taylor's University offers a global study environment right here in Malaysia, as the Lakeside campus itself is already home to some 2,000 international students from some 80+ countries. Prof. Perry Hobson adding that "our campus offers very cosmopolitan study environment and has an international feel with students coming from as far and wide as the UK, The Netherlands, Finland, China, Japan, Zambia and Mexico". Furthermore, and as Ms. Chong Lip Wei, Head of Brand Management, has pointed out, "In light of the recent drop in the currency and the exchange rates issues affecting Malaysia, this campaign also aims to create awareness of the many more cost–effective international study opportunities that are available by studying at Taylor's University". In addition to these global student opportunities, Taylor's University also offers SHINE, its second transcript programme. One of the four components of SHINE is 'Global Engagement', where students earn recognition for their involvement in extra-curricula international activities.
