Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Foundation in Arts/Science/Equivalent:

    • Minimum CGPA 2.0 with credit in Maths

    • Minimum credit in Maths in SPM or grade ‘C’ in O-Levels

  • STPM (Arts/Science stream):

    • Minimum CGPA of 2.0 (or equivalent)

    • Minimum Grade ‘C’ for 2 subjects INCLUDING Maths

  • UEC (Commerce/Science stream):

    • Minimum 5 Credits (‘B’ grade) INCLUDING Maths

  • SAM/AUSMAT/WACE/SACE:

    • Minimum ATAR score of 60 AND minimum score of 60% in Mathematics

    • OR minimum overall average of 60% in 5 subjects AND minimum score of 60% in Mathematics

  • CPU:

    • Minimum average of 65% in 6 subjects INCLUDING Maths

  • International Baccalaureate:

    • Minimum 26/42 points from 6 subjects

    • Minimum score of 4/7 in Maths

  • Local Matriculation:

    • Minimum CGPA 2.0 INCLUDING Maths

    • Minimum credit in Maths in SPM or grade 'C' in O-Level

  • Diploma/Advance Diploma/Equivalent:

    • Minimum CGPA 2.0

    • Subject to School discretion and credit transfer after reviewing transcript, syllabus description, and portfolio (Max. 30% credit transfer)

  • Other qualification deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by MQA:

    • Students will be considered on a case-by-case basis

AND

  • General Requirement:

    • All applicants must pass Art Education/Engineering Drawing/related subjects at SPM/O-Level/equivalent

    • OR pass Portfolio Review in replacement of the art subject if applicable

  • The general requirement applies to both local and foreign applicants.

  • The Faculty reserves the right to request an interview if deemed necessary. This applies to both local and foreign applications.


English Language Requirements

For Local Students

  • MUET: Band 3.5

  • SPM English Language: Grade B+

  • SPM English Language 1119/O-Level/IGCSE: Grade C

  • UEC English Language: Grade A2

In the event that the English language requirements are not met, applicants will be required to take the Basic English and English Foundation for in-sessional academic enhancement concurrently with the programme.

For International Students

  • Cambridge Linguaskill: 154

  • IELTS: Band 5.0

  • Cambridge English Qualifications and Tests: 154

  • TOEFL IBT: 40
