About
A Diploma in Accounting serves as an initial step and an ideal foundation for aspiring accountants, offering a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, technical business skills, and key practices in account preparation and financial reporting.
Students gain exposure to computerized accounting systems, providing them with technological proficiency, along with learning taxation principles, auditing, and cost and management accounting. These competencies are crucial prerequisites for embarking on a career path in various professional accounting bodies and other business sectors.
Additional benefits include certifications in Microsoft Excel and SQL Accounting, as well as potential exemptions for up to three papers from ACCA qualifications. Furthermore, a six-month internship component offers valuable hands-on experience, allowing students to apply classroom learning in real-world settings.
Utilizing the APEL mechanism, individuals can leverage prior learning experiences to gain admission, potentially reducing both study duration and costs.
