Entry Requirements

  • STPM: Grade C in any 2 subjects+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • STAM: Minimum grade Jayyid+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • A-Level: Grade D in any 2 subjects+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • SAM: ATAR 70 + Grade B in any 2 subjects+Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • CPU: 70% Average in any 6 subjects+Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • IB Diploma: Minimum 24 points (excluding bonus)+Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent.
  • Foundation from UTAR: CGPA ≥ 2.00+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent*.
  • Matriculation / Foundation from other Institutions: CGPA ≥ 2.00+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent*.
  • Diploma (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent: CGPA ≥ 2.00+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent*.
  • Other recognised qualifications: As per Malaysian Government regulations+Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent*.
  • For qualifications conducted fully in English, credit in SPM English is NOT required, but a pass in English at SPM level or equivalent is mandatory.

English Language Requirements:

  • Malaysian Applicants: - Must have a Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent if STPM/UEC/other qualifications are not conducted fully in English.

  • Acceptable alternatives: Grade C in O-Level English / Grade B in UEC English / MUET Band 3 / IELTS Band 5.0 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / TOEFL Essentials 7.5 / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154 / OET 100 / ELS CIEP Level 107. (NOT applicable for A-Level, SAM, CPU, or qualifications conducted fully in English (BUT must have a pass in English at SPM level / equivalent)

  • Those with only a pass in English at SPM level / equivalent must take and pass the English Enhancement Programme (Levels 7 & 8) before joining the Bachelor's degree. |
     

  • International Applicants - Must have a minimum of IELTS Band 5.0 / MUET Band 3 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / TOEFL Essentials 7.5 / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154 / OET 100 / ELS CIEP Level 107 / equivalent.

  • NOT applicable for entry qualifications conducted fully in English or applicants from countries where English is the official language (BUT must have a pass in English at SPM level / equivalent).

  • Credit in English at SPM level / equivalent (NOT required if qualification was fully in English, but a pass in English is still mandatory).
