Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons)

Business administration is the foundation of every successful organization, encompassing the management and oversight of operations across various industries. From government agencies to multinational corporations, small businesses, and private enterprises, skilled professionals are essential to driving growth and achieving business objectives. UTAR's Business Administration programme equips students with a strong understanding of key business principles, including operations management, human resource management, strategic management among others. Beyond technical expertise, it also focuses on developing transferable skills that enhance employability, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for dynamic career opportunities.

Any one of these:

• STPM: 2 subjects with Grade C (GP 2.0) + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• STAM: Minimum Jayyid + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• A-Level: 2 subjects with Grade D + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• UEC: 5 subjects with Grade B + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• SAM: ATAR 70, 2 subjects with Grade B + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• CPU: Minimum 70% average in 6 subjects + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• IB Diploma: Minimum 24 points + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• TVET Diploma: CGPA ≥2.50 (or ≥2.00 + 2 years of work experience), may require additional assessment or bridging programme
• Foundation form UTAR: CGPA ≥2.00 + Pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level / equivalent**
• Matriculation / Foundation from other institutions: CGPA ≥2.00
• Diploma (Level 4, MQF): CGPA ≥2.00
• Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF): Recognized qualification

Note: The requirement for a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM Level can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with an equivalent / higher achievement. Applicants without a pass in SPM Mathematics / equivalent can be admitted but are required to attend Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC). Students must pass the MEC as a prerequisite to related core courses before joining the degree programme.

English Requirements

Malaysian applicants with STPM/UEC/qualfications not conducted fully in English:

• Credit in Englsih language at SPM level / Grade C in O-Level English / Grade B in UEC English / MUET Band 3 / IELTS Band 5.0 / TOEFL 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154/100(OET) / ELS CIEP Level 107 (NOT applicable for A-Level/SAM/CPU or entry qualifications conducted fully in English BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent).

International Applicants:

• International applicants must have a minimum of IELTS Band 5.5 / MUET Band 3/ TOEFL 46(iBT)/8(Essentials) / PTE 51 / Cambridge English 160/200(OET) / ELS CIEP Level 108 / equivalent (NOT applicable for entry qualifications conducted fully in English or students from countries with English as official language BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level or equivalent 

Note: Those who do not meet the above English Language requirements but obtain a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent are required to take the English Enhancement Programme and pass at the English Levels 7 & 8 before joining the Bachelor's degree programme
