Intakes
Entry Requirements
- STPM: Grade C in any 2 subjects.
- STAM: Minimum grade of Jayyid.
- A-Level: Grade D in any 2 subjects.
- UEC: Grade B in 5 subjects.
- SAM: ATAR 70 and Grade B in any 2 subjects.
- CPU: Average of 70% in any 6 subjects.
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Minimum 24 points (excluding bonus points).
- TVET Diplomas (DKM / DVM / DLKM): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 OR CGPA 2.00 with 2 years of relevant work experience (subject to approval). Pass admission screening process & undergo Bridging programme if required. Credit transfer possible on a case-by-case basis.
- Foundation from UTAR: Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- Matriculation / Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning: Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.00.
- Other equivalent qualifications: Recognised by the Malaysian Government.
Logical Thinking Test:
- Internal Assessment: All applicants must attend an internal assessment on logical thinking.
- Logical Thinking Test: Applicants must take a logical thinking test, either in person at the university or online. If taken online, students will be proctored.
- Testing Procedures: Detailed instructions on the test format and response submission will be provided.
- Exemption Criteria: Applicants with Foundation/Matriculation/Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent qualifications may be exempted.
- Interview Requirement: The panel reserves the right to invite the applicant for an interview if necessary.
English Language Requirement:
- Malaysian Applicants (STPM / UEC /qualifications not fully in English): Must have a Credit in SPM English / Grade C in O-Level English / Grade B in UEC English / MUET Band 3 / IELTS Band 5.0 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / 7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154 / 100(OET) / ELS CIEP Level 107.
- If the above is not met, but with a pass in SPM English / equivalent: Required to take the English Enhancement Programme and pass English Levels 7 & 8 before joining the Bachelor's programme.
- International Applicants: Must have a minimum of IELTS Band 5.5 / MUET Band 3 / TOEFL 46(iBT) / 8(Essentials) / PTE 51 / Cambridge English 160 / 200(OET) / ELS CIEP Level 108 or equivalent to CEFR Low B2.
- Exemptions: Not applicable for entry qualifications conducted fully in English or students from countries where English is the official language, but they must have a pass in English at SPM level / equivalent.
