Entry Requirements
The Diploma in Hospitality Operations (Level 5) is a basic entry level qualification for students wanting to enter the work force as soon as possible and are content to focus on operations. Students aspiring to employment roles leading to management responsibility are advised to take the bachelors degree programme.
Requirements
The DHO L5 is a one year programme of study comprising 7 Level 5 courses:
3.120 Tourism and Hospitality in New Zealand
5.101 Business Environment for the Hospitality Industry
5.102 Food and Beverage Production Operations
5.103 Food and Beverage Service Operations
5.104 Written and Oral Skills for the Hospitality Industry
5.105 Computing for Accounting and Finance in the Hospitality Industry
One elective course at Level 5 or higher
