Moving to another country to study is one of the biggest decisions you will make so it is understandable for students to feel a mixture of nerves and excitement. Bellerbys College recognise the importance of feeling safe, comfortable and happy when you are away from home and we take great care to ensure all of our accommodation options provide this.

We offer three high quality and comfortable accommodation options in Cambridge:

Manor House (Under 18 years)
Located north of Cambridge city centre and connected to the heart of the city by expert transport links. Cambridge Manor House provides transport to and from Queens Campus on weekdays and facilities include:

  • 60 single bedrooms with basins
  • Bed, desk, closet and linen and towels provided
  • Bathroom facilities and kitchenette, including microwave and fridge, shared between 3 to 4 students
  • Canteen and social space including table tennis and pool table
  • Study Centre
  • Music Room
  • Quiet Room
  • Movie Room with TV, DVD and PlayStation
  • Dance / Exercise studio

Purbeck House (18 years+)
Designed by award-winning architects, Purbeck House offers sophisticated style together with home comforts. All studios and one-bedroom apartments are light, airy and fully equipped with modern furnishings. Purbeck House is located south of the city about 15 minutes’ walk from the College and includes:

  • 21 rooms – a mix of studios and one bedroom apartments, all en-suite
  • Bed, linen, desk, closet and shower room with WC and towels
  • Kitchenette for each student
  • Common area with couches, TV and DVD player
  • Wi-Fi access
  • On-site coin operated laundry room with iron
  • 24-hour access to Warden

Tripos Court (18 years+)
Tripos Court offers purpose-built student accommodation which is located a 15-minute walk from the College. The campus is south of Cambridge city centre and is connected to the heart of the city by frequent bus services. Cambridge Tripos Court includes:

  • 91 single en-suite bedrooms
  • Bed, linen, desk, closet and shower room with WC and towels
  • Full kitchen shared with six to eight students and includes hob, oven, microwave, fridge and dining table
  • Wi-Fi access
  • On-site coin operated laundry room
  • Half-board and self-catering options available

Homestay
We have different kinds of Homestay, each offering a different experience of culture and lifestyle but all providing a warm and friendly welcome to international students.

The College Welfare and Safeguarding Team carefully choose all our homestay accommodation to ensure it is safe and friendly and carry out regular checks to ensure the students’ needs are being met. Some of the great benefits to a homestay include:

  • Spending time with a family, getting to know the British culture and practising your English
  • Independence within a caring home environment
  • Being located within a 20-minute walk of the college or are on a suitable bus or train route  
  • Comfortable study bedroom with a desk and wardrobe
  • Breakfast and evening meals

  • Choice of single or shared bedroom

Extra measures are put in place to safeguard students in homestay who are under the age of 16. Local Social Services teams will visit students in their accommodation to ensure that their needs are being met and that their environment is as safe, secure and nurturing as it should be.
