Accommodation

We offer different types of accommodation, all within easy travelling distances from our campuses with facilities including en-suite bathrooms and free internet access.

Moving home is a big (and exciting) part of your University experience. It's a time where you'll learn to cook and clean with, no doubt, interesting results along the way. It's also a time where you'll mix with people who can become great friends

Accommodation at the Stoke-on-Trent Campus

We've undergone a huge refurbishment of all of our standard accommodation and can't wait to share the new look Halls and Houses with all of our new residents. You'll find our famously friendly community spirit everywhere on campus, but it really comes to life in our accommodation.

Not one to forget our roots, we've named all of our halls after the potters and manufacturers that made this city and community what it is. Now it's all yours to explore.

All of our Stoke-on-Trent accommodation is no more than a five minute walk from university study buildings and we're right in the heart of the on-campus night life.

Included with all of our Stoke accommodation is internet access, utility bills, up to £5000 contents insurance, and access to all of our Residence Life events - all for no extra cost!

Our contract length is 39 weeks, from moving-in day through to the following June. There's no need to move out over any semester breaks.

Accommodation at Stafford
Tedder Court
For Medical Students studying at our Blackheath Lane Centre of Excellence, we have off-campus accommodation for students studying on these courses. These modern, freshly refurbished houses have kitchen, living, and bathroom facilities shared between 4 residents. Each room is on a 44 week Licence Agreement, so you don't need to move out over breaks and holidays.

Stafford is a unique town with a whole lot of character. Our houses are located a short distance from our Blackheath lane site, with good transport links to Stafford Town Centre. The centre of Stafford boasts historic buildings and attractions, a soon-to-open cinema, and loads of places to shop and unwind.

The town is also a great starting point to discover unforgettable experiences across Staffordshire including theme parks, outdoor adventures, forests and lakes, shopping and leisure centres to name just a few.

Campus

The core activity at Staffordshire University is centred around two campuses in Stoke-on-Trent, and Stafford. Two more recent developments have added new campuses and extended the range of provision.

The integration into the University of the Shropshire and Staffordshire College of Nursing and Midwifery based at Stafford, Shrewsbury, Telford and Oswestry was completed in 1995. In 1998 the University opened a new campus in Lichfield, which is jointly owned with Tamworth and Lichfield College.

Stoke-on-Trent Campus
One of Staffordshire University's two main campuses is based in Stoke-on-Trent and sits across two main road locations which are within a 5 minute walk of each other.

Stafford Campus
One of Staffordshire University’s two main campuses is based in Stafford spread across two key sites: Beaconside and Blackheath Lane.

Lichfield Campus
The Staffordshire University Lichfield Centre is a unique partnership between Staffordshire University and South Staffordshire College.

The Lichfield campus offers an excellent opportunity to learners in the region north east of Birmingham and complements work we are doing with West Midlands organisations. We believe that this extension of our education offer deeper into the West Midlands provides opportunities to a growing number of learners to access study in Staffordshire.

At the Lichfield campus the University offers:

Faculty of Business, Education and Law: Education Studies: PGCE Primary Education programme; CPD programmes; Master’s and Doctoral programmes, as well as the BA Early Childhood Studies top up programme.
Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Sciences: HNC in Web development
Faculty of Health Sciences: BA (Hons) in Social Work
We have a café, open to the public, offering light refreshments.  There are also small business units available for license to enterprising companies looking for a south Staffordshire location.

Shrewsbury
This part of the university is mainly for nursing and midwifery courses, and is still part of the university despite all three settlements being located in neighbouring county Shropshire

Stoke-on-Trent has the shops, supermarkets, bars, and eateries for every taste and budget. Not to mention great people. It's also in the middle of everything. So exploring outside of the city is easy too.

Get active
Experience Staffordshire from the treetops at Aerial Extreme. Ascend Awesome Walls. Dive in at Waterworld. Chase thrills at Alton Towers. If you're looking to unwind, we have places for that too. Get closer to nature at the Monkey Forest in Trentham Estate. Become an honorary potter at Emma Bridgewater by putting your making skills to the test. You can even watch a show at the Regent Theatre.

Music
Each summer the most popular musicians take over Staffordshire. Calvin Harris. Sam Smith. Ellie Goulding. All these artists have created unforgettable weekends at V Festival in the last few years. And, the best part, it's held just 40-minutes away at Weston Park. The Sugarmill and The Underground are also great local venues. Perfect for those who aren't fans of wellies.

Premier Sport
The Bet365 Stadium hosts Premier League Football in the city. Home to Stoke City Football Club holds 28,000 people. Plenty of room for to join the terraces to roar on 'The Potters'.

Stoke-on-Trent is also the European City for Sport. A series of high-profile sporting events will occur throughout 2016.

Connections
Looking to get out and explore? You'll find it easy to travel the country from here. A short walk from our Stoke-on-Trent campus is the city's train station. As we're in the middle of things there's plenty of big destinations nearby you can choose from. Plus, you can explore the local area by using one of the many buses leaving from the train station.

Stafford
Studying at the Centre of Excellence for Health Sciences? Stafford is your home. A short walk to the town centre's cobbled streets and you'll find modern shops and bars. A new £70 million shopping complex with 18 new stores and a multiplex cinema will open in 2016/17.

Shrewsbury
Studying at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital? The name gives it away. Shrewsbury is you home. It's full of boutiques and shops. The quirk of Shrewsbury is discovering new gems tucked away in its medieval alleyways. With cobbled streets filled with restaurants, deli's, and cafes, you'll never be without choice.
