About Swansea University
Based in Swansea, Wales, United Kingdom, Swansea University is Wales' third largest university, and it was formed in 1920. The campus is next to the Swansea Bay coast, outside of the Swansea city centre. Swansea University is made up by six colleges, which are the College of Arts and Humanities; the College of Business, Economics and Law; the College of Engineering; the College of Human and Health Science; the College of Medicine; as well as the College of Science. Swansea University was ranked 46th out of 100 UK universities in 2008 by The Times university 2008.

Campus
Swansea University is situated in the grounds of Singleton Park, next to Swansea Bay. Its Library & Information Centre has over more than 800,000 books and periodicals, and 23,000 electronic resources. The university's Sports Village features an extensive range of sports facilities, such as gymnasium, sports hall, a climbing wall, swimming pool, running track, tennis courts, squash courts, and etc. There is also a Museum of Egyptian Antiquities within the campus, exhibiting over 4000 Egyptian antiquities. The university also provides over 3400 places in the residence halls. A variety of restaurants and coffee shops are opened in the campus as well.
Swansea University is placed in Swansea Bay, surrounded with tranquil parks and coastal scenery, it is within an easy reach of the City of Swansea. It is easily reached by road, rail, sea and air. Cardiff International Airport is less than an hour away and the M4 motorway, the main east-west arterial route from London, passes through the northern outskirts of Swansea. Swansea railway station is on the main west coast line from London Paddington, less than three hours away by direct train.
