Curriculum

The course has a common first year with the other business management options and is designed to give you a good understanding of business fundamentals. In addition to economics, you’ll study organisational and financial management, marketing, innovation, entrepreneurship, human resources and leadership.
In your final two years you’ll explore a wide range of economic theories and practices, learning from an academic team who are researching the latest trends and thinking and who have years of hands-on business experience.

You’ll learn about the factors that lie behind business decisions, business strategy and the relationships between businesses and consumers. And you’ll also study ‘macro’ economic factors such as the behaviour of markets, how national economies work and the role of governments and institutions in economic life.

Whatever your career goals, you’ll learn skills that are in high demand from employers in all sectors. These include problem-solving techniques, effective communication and presentation skills, data analysis, project management and working as part of a team.
