Curriculum
Within the degree programme you will study of literature from Beowulf to the present day in the first two years, and the opportunity to retain this chronological breadth or to choose more in-depth study of particular periods or topics in the third and fourth years. You also engage with a number of specialist topics including, for example, literature and law; literature and ecology; Renaissance sexualities; literature and gender; speeches and speech-writing; creative writing; science fiction; and 1940s writing offering you a wide choice of subject combinations and wide choice of options within subjects. It may be possible to spend a semester or year studying abroad as part of this degree programme.
