Entry Requirements

A minimum of 200 UCAS points with at least 140 UCAS points from two A-Levels or equivalent.

GCSE English, Maths and Science at Grade C or above or Key Skills Communication and Application of Number at Level 2.

Successful pass on a HNC in a relevant subject discipline

Direct entry into the second year (Level 5) of the BSc course may be considered for applicants possessing an appropriate HNC/HND or equivalent qualification.

Direct entry into the third year (Level 6) of the BSc course may be considered for applicants possessing an appropriate Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification.

Age and experience are recognised and prospective students may be required to attend an interview where they will also have the opportunity to see our state of the art facilities

An Access to HE Diploma full award (Pass of 60 credits - of which a minimum of 45 credits must be at level 3 including 18 at Merit or Distinction) will be accepted.

Curriculum

This course has a central focus on water and environmental aspects in civil engineering. These subject areas can be applied within current regulatory and administrative regimes to the benefit of society.

A graduate of the BSc (Hons) Civil and Environmental Engineering course will have qualities and transferable skills necessary for employment. Particularly, the ability to exercise management principles and human relations with other professional disciplines that underpin the functioning of an organisation. Graduates will be able to plan and regulate the operations within a complex construction project and furthermore, be prepared for further career development.
