Entry Requirements

A minimum 200 UCAS points from at least 2 'A' Levels or equivalent.

GCSE English and Maths GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent.

Maturity and experience is taken into account and if this applies, your application will be considered by the Course Team and you may be called for interview prior to acceptance.

An Access to HE Diploma full award (Pass of 60 credits - of which a minimum of 45 credits must be at level 3 including 18 at Merit or Distinction) will be accepted.

Curriculum

At level one you will study issues which are common to all types of property. Construction technology, transactions in real estate and valuation will make up the majority of the first year. This will allow you to move into level two armed with the knowledge to deal with the more day to day work of the property manager.

At level two the course will focus in more detail on the actual work carried out by the property manager. Core modules studied include development and regeneration, residential property management, social housing and construction and environmental technology.

At level three you will spend a substantial amount of time working in a team on the group projects and working on your own for the dissertation. The aim of the year is to take you one step further so that not only are you able to respond to challenges as they arise but you are able to be more pro-active in your approach and anticipate problems. Core modules studied include strategic housing management, computer application in real estate, project evaluation and development, law and dispute resolution.
