Entry Requirements

Urban & Electronic Music

This two-year full-time course focuses on the growing demand for electronic music-based audio professionals, developing relevant skills and expertise to industry level.

Highly practical in nature, this course has a strong emphasis on contemporary music creation, audio post-production and sound recording techniques, integrating technology and creativity with entrepreneurship skills. There is a vibrant mix of lectures, seminars, workshops and individual and group project work, as well as research and private study. You will have access to current industry-standard resources, including facilities for music composition, production, recording, mixing, post-production and mastering.

We offer a rich programme of co-curricular activities; these include guest lecturers, study tours and music-based visits to enhance industry opportunities and awareness including trips to New York, London and Barcelona.

The course is ideal for producers, musicians, DJs and vocalists with a background or interest in electronic-based music, such as Hip Hop, Dubstep, Electronica, Drum & Bass, House and R&B, which is now a substantial part of the music industry.
This course is run in association with Kidderminster College and you will study at Kidderminster.
