Averett University

Main Campus
Traditional undergraduate students and GPS Business students pursue their degree programs at our Main Campus on West Main Street. This 19-acre campus includes classrooms, labs, housing, dining facilities, administration offices and our Student Center.

Riverview Campus
Also located in Danville is our Riverview Campus, located in historic Downtown Danville. The Riverview Campus houses the central administrative offices for the Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS) Program as well as Averett’s Nursing Program. Regional staff for the GPS Program, including enrollment and academic services, also have office here. In addition, the building contains multiple classrooms, a computer lab, a nursing simulation lab, student lounge and faculty offices.

North Campus
The North Campus is home to the Averett Athletics Department. Facilities include the Grant Center; classrooms; and our Football, Baseball, Softball, and Soccer fields.

Flight Center
The Averett Flight Center for Aeronautics students is based at Danville Regional Airport.

Equestrian Center
Equestrian students attend courses at our 100-acre Equestrian Center, just over the border in Pelham, North Carolina.

Averett University is headquartered near the border with North Carolina in Danville, a charming and lively city nestled along the banks of the Dan River. 

From traditional residence halls, to suites, to apartments – Averett offers a variety of residence hall options.

• Rooms include a twin bed, desk and dresser for each student. All furniture must remain in the room/suite/apartment.
• All campus buildings are non-smoking
• Free laundry facilities are located in Main Hall, Fugate Hall and in each Averett Commons Apartment.
• Rooms are wired for cable television
• All rooms offer high-speed internet access

Main Hall: A traditional style residence hall, this historic building houses women on the third floor. All rooms are designated singles and require no additional single room fee. Note: indoor room air conditioners are permitted in Main Hall. Approx. room size: 10′ W x 17 ‘L; Approx. window size: 60″ W x 84″ H

Davenport Hall: Davenport houses men (2nd floor) and women (3rd & 4th floors). Small, window air conditioners are permitted. Approx. room size: 12′ W x 11 ‘L; Approx. window size: 70″ W x 72″ H

Danville Hall: Danville Hall houses men (2nd & 3rd floors). Small, window air conditioners are permitted. Approx. room size: 12′ W x 11 ‘L; Approx. window size: 70″ W x 72″ H

Bishop Hall: A male residence hall, all rooms are configured as air-conditioned doubles. Approx. room size: 13′ W x 15 ‘L; Approx. window size: 50″ W x 652″ H

Fugate Hall: Fugate features 15 suites each housing 10 residents in five rooms with a shared living area and bathroom. The building is air conditioned and carpeted. Single rooms are not available in Fugate Hall. Approx. window size: 70″ W x 72″ H

Averett Commons Apartments: (Upper class student housing) The Commons offers apartment-style living for 140 sophomores, juniors and seniors. Each air-conditioned apartment accommodates four students each with a single room. Features include: kitchen, washer/dryer, balcony/patio, living room and high-speed Internet. The bed type in Averett Commons is a double bed.

Mountain View Apartments: (International Student Housing) Mountain View apartments offer apartment-style living in one, two and four bedroom apartments. All bedrooms are double occupancy and outfitted with a standard twin bed, desk and chair, and closet or dresser storage. Each apartment has a full kitchen, bathroom, cable, internet and local phone service. International students are welcome to live in any of our residence hall facilities.

• Private Room Fee:   $800.00 per year – must be paid in advance
• Single rooms are limited to specific halls and there is limited availability for single rooms.
