Looking to the future, Sacramento State's campus master plan is a blueprint for campus growth over the next 20 years. Among the proposals are a new events center, new classroom buildings, and a Grand Central Quad.
Construction continues on a 416-bed residence hall, which will open in time for the Fall 2017 semester. University officials plan to break ground in Spring 2017 on Science II, a state-of-the-art education building with cutting-edge teaching labs. It’s expected to open in early 2019. Also in the works are an addition to the University Union and a parking structure on the north end of campus.
Sacramento is one of California’s most affordable metropolitan cities, offering dozens of stylish restaurants, galleries, shopping centers and boutiques within minutes of campus.
The Housing complex houses approximately 1,700 students consisting of five three-story Residence Halls and the American River Courtyard, surrounding a central Dining Commons (DC) and quad area.
