About Jacksonville University

Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville University (JU) is a private university formed in 1934 as a two-year college, it shifted to a four-year university in 1958.

Jacksonville University is divided into seven academic colleges/schools: College of Arts & Sciences; Davis College of Business​; College of Fine Arts; College of Health Sciences; School of Education; School of Orthodontics; and School of Nursing​, offering more than 70 undergraduate and postgraduate majors and programs.

Campus information

The 198-acre campus is well-equipped with state-of-arts facilities, including library, dance studio, a 2D & 3D Visual Art Annex, computer lab, auditorium/lecture hall, classrooms, gymnasium, courts and field, pool, Medical Science Center, a Marine Science Research Institute, air-conditioned residence halls, and two 400-seat theatre and concert hall.

The campus is based in Jacksonville, the Jacksonville International Airport is only 25 minutes away by car. Downtown Jacksonville is just ten minutes away, and it is 20 minutes from Atlantic Ocean beaches. 


North Campus Hall (First Year Students)
