Student Life currently has 35 active student organizations/ committees for students to become more involved in our campus community. Campus-wide student clubs/organizations include the Art Club, Campus Ambassadors, Campus Crusade for Christ, Chess Club, Choir Club, Environmental Club, Literary League, Phi Theta Kappa, Photo Club, Ski/Snowboarding Club, Spanish Club, Theatre Club, Ultimate Frisbee, United Students, Unity/GL BT and Veterans Club.
Program-related student organizations include the Auto Service Tech, Aviation, Broadcasting, Business Professionals of America, Computer Technology, Construction Electricians, Dental Hygiene, Fire Tech, Machine Tech Skills, Medical Lab Tech, Massage Therapy, Nursing Club, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Care and Surgical Tech.
Overlooking Lake Superior and St. Louis River bay, LSC is set back on a majestic 97-acre wooded lot. The campus features an award-winning hiking trail, a designated trout stream (Miller Creek) and access to a city-run disc golf course.
LSC does not own or operate housing or apartment facilities for students living away from home. There are several apartment buildings located near the campus; however, the college does not inspect or certify such housing, nor will it assume responsibility for problems arising from private housing. Notices of available housing and apartment vacancies are listed on bulletin boards located near the Commons area.
