Located on 426 acres in the western San Fernando Valley, nestled next to the thriving business district of Warner Center, Pierce College combines state-of-the-art technology and learning with the picturesque beauty of its rolling hills. The campus' setting among 2,000 trees, thousands of rose bushes, a nature preserve, botanical garden and a forest area boasting giant redwoods makes it unique in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
Pierce College is setting the pace in community college education, preparing students to take their place or to retrain in industries at the forefront of technological advances. The creation of the 15-week semester plan led to higher enrollment, better learning and better retention. With five-week summer sessions and a five-week winter session, students are enjoying the opportunity to move more quickly through the curriculum with greater academic success.
Woodland Hills is located a few miles away from most of Southern California's entertainment attractions including Hollywood, Universal Studios, and the Disney Studios.
The summers are warm and the winters are mild. We are located just 10 miles away from Malibu beaches.
Like most 2-year colleges, Pierce does not have dorms or on-campus housing. Most students live in apartments or home stays in the vicinity of the college. If you are not sure where to live, we advise you to make a reservation at a local hotel or motel before you arrive. A few days after you arrive, you can research neighborhoods at your convenience. An apartment hunting guide and a list of hotels/motels are included in the new student acceptance packet.
