Campus information
Stanley College offers a friendly and stimulating environment with smaller classes where trainers get to know the students, ensuring that they acquire sound knowledge and skills in their chosen courses. A variety of teaching methods, applying the latest teaching materials in both theoretical and practical works which are relevant to the needs of the industry and for further studies. Trainers use the latest educational technologies, audio-visual and multimedia to enhance the understanding, knowledge and skills of the students.
The College has its own kitchen and restaurant where students will be able to develop and improve their cookery, management, customer service and other skills.
This will complement their education and training in food and beverage service, responsible service of liquor, wine service, bar and cellar operations and commercial cookery.
The campus is well located in the CBD and has:
- Fully equipped computers lab
- Student Common Room - microwaves, fridges and vending machines
- Classrooms with TV, DVD and data projectors
- Study Material and resources provided
- All class rooms are air conditioned
Stanley College is located in the centre of the City of Perth, within walking distance to Central Business District, Perth Central Railway Station and State Library of Western Australia. Free intercity bus (CAT) services are available.
Perth on the other hand, has an excellent and modern network of buses, trains and ferries. Metered taxis also operate throughout Perth. Within Perth, Fremantle and Joondalup city zones, bus services are free. Stanley College students are issued with a Tertiary SmartRider card, which will allow you to enjoy concession fares on public transport throughout Western Australia.
Accommodation
Stanley College will assist students with homestay placements. Homestay hosts may be families, couples, single parents with children or single individuals. Your homestay host will provide you with a safe environment and an introduction to living and studying in Australia. You will gain a deeper insight into Australian culture, as well as the opportunity to improve your language skills.
While living with a local host family or individual, you will be provided with a clean, furnished bedroom with a bed, desk, wardrobe, chair and a study lamp. You will also have access to bathroom and laundry facilities as well as an option for meal services. The minimum homestay duration is generally 2 weeks.
