Entry Requirements

  • 280 UCAS tariff points normally in a minimum of two subject areas
  • Level 2 English and Maths.

*If you have no formal qualifications you are still welcome to apply. Your applications will be considered on an individual basis taking into account your professional work, life experiences and your ability to engage with and benefit from the course. You will be particularly welcomed if you are an experienced HRM administration assistant.

International Students:

  • IELTS at 6.0 or above and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening). 

Curriculum

During the first year (Level 4), you will develop an understanding of basic business functions such as:

  • business environment
  • basic and core HRM concepts

The second year (Level 5) will focus on deeper understanding of HRM. You will learn about:

  • reward management
  • developing people
  • organisation design 
  • talent management
  • problem solving skills

The final year (Level 6) will explore human resource management issues at strategic level. 

You will focus on developing your critical thinking skills when dealing with contemporary issues and challenges in HRM. Areas covered will include:

  • employee engagement
  • employee relations
  • consultancy in HRM
