Entry Requirements
160 UCAS points including a minimum of 140 points A level awards or Access to HE Diploma full award (Pass of 60 credits - of which a minimum of 45 credits must be at level 3 including 18 at Merit or Distinction).
You should have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above or Key Skills Communication and Application of Number at Level 2
Applications from candidates over 21 years of age with relevant experience and other qualifications will be considered.

Curriculum
You will study the use of information systems and technologies within a business context.
In addition, you will develop your skills in the management of IS projects in a controlled and disciplined way so that required systems can be delivered on time, within budget and to a defined quality.
There will be ample opportunity to assess a range of IS development methods and systems acquisition and implementation options by which organisations can meet their IS needs. Focus is also placed on critical evaluation and effectiveness of these methods in a variety of situations.
Opportunities are provided to consolidate skills in process and data modelling techniques. You will develop an understanding of practical skills in applying systems design in information systems development. Your studies will enable you to understand how a wide variety of techniques interconnect with each other to provide a robust solution.
Associated with any Information Systems project are some risks. You will develop an understanding of the risks and use a range of tools and techniques to analyse and evaluate their consequences, and explore how countermeasures can be applied.
You will be offered the opportunity to undertake a placement year, where you gain invaluable experience in the workplace, before returning to complete your final year. Many students have found this to be a real asset when it comes to finding a job after graduation
