King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), King Saud University, and King Abdulaziz University (KAU) ranked 1st, 3rd, and 5th respectively.
Egypt has the most universities in the list, with 25 entries this year, followed by Algeria with 20.
First published in 2014, QS University Rankings: Arab Region was based on data and research metrics developed with the aim of reflecting specific challenges and priorities for institutions in the region, drawing on the specific indicators such as academic and employment reputation, among others.
