Be happy!
We live in a very challenging world where our life goals will be distracted by competitions and temptations.
Always bear in mind that matters is how you achieve your life goals instead of comparing and competing with others.
Exercising happiness or subjective well-being can help you to enhance creativity, experience a feeling of flow (sense of involvement in activities) and keep a sound and rational mind because you won’t have time to think too much.
Feed your mind!
Choosing the right stuff to enrich your mind is vital in order to keep your brain functioning.
It’s exactly like selecting the right type of food, supplying the right nutrients to your body. What you feed your mind with is what shapes your thoughts and cognitive patterns.
You can bolster your mind by watching intellectual movies, visiting pop-up galleries or even Youtube channels. Try to invest in self-help books like “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, “The Secret” and “The Last Lecture” as well and apply what you learn from these books in real life.
Put down your smartphones!
Social media has become part of our daily lives and ironically, it is one of the main causes of negative emotional states such as sorrow and sadness. If you’re that kind of person who scrolls 24/7 and wonder why you can’t have that many friends as the other person, then you HAVE to put the phone down.
All you’re doing is filling up your head with negative thoughts, thoughts that tell you how much of your life lacks! When you choose to put down your gadgets and start exploring the real world, you will discover and realize there are a lot of beautiful people, things and moments in the reality.
Get your gameface on!
Pick any game that requires your deep thoughts and concentration and tests how fast you can think.
Video games can challenge your reflexes, ability to plan and assess how well you adapt to challenging situations.
Sports keep your mind and body fit, agile and coordinated because your body is demanded to react to the quick decisions made by your mind as your awareness merges with your action.
Bonus tip: Find out more about body resolutions you can actually keep.
Puzzle games like Sudoku (Online Sudoku) are time consuming but good for people who like something laid back but challenging.
Detox your mind!
Take some time off and clear your mind for an hour or two. Your mind needs some spring cleaning as well, because through time, things can become too cluttered.
Do some mental relaxation exercises, for instance, you can meditate, count objects and imagine beautiful sceneries or even pray if you feel like doing so.
For introverts, spend some time in your hobby to rejuvenate yourself from what you really like. It can be jogging, reading, sewing, listening to music or even just daydream.
If you’re an extrovert, you will be simply relaxed and comfortable as long as there are people around you. So, try invite your friends to a meal or a drink and just talk to each other about anything.
