Accommodation

Many students coming to Central Sussex College from abroad like to stay with a host family initially. This provides a secure home environment and the opportunity to practise your English.

The cost depends on the size of the room and the number of meals:

  • Self-catering costs approximately £85 per week
(accommodation only - bedroom and shared bathroom & kitchen)
  • Full-board costs £115 per week
(bed, breakfast and evening meals included, and at weekends a snack will also be provided at lunchtime.)

We have an accommodation service which can help place you with a family either on a self-catering or full-board basis. Some students choose to remain with a host family, others move on to share flats or houses with other students.

Campus

Central Sussex College has four campuses which are easily accessible by road and rail and within easy reach of London, Gatwick and Brighton. Our excellent links with the local business community mean we can help you find job placements and work experience opportunities relevant to your studies.
Our Crawley campus offers a wide range of vocational courses and excellent training facilities including an industry-standard training restaurant, commercial hair and beauty salons, and state-of-the-art engineering and construction training workshops.

Our new University Centre at Central Sussex College provides local, flexible and affordable higher education courses across a diverse range of sectors and qualifications including Foundation Degrees, Higher National Certificates and Diplomas and a top-up degree.

The campus in East Grinstead is the home of adult education in the area with hundreds of courses on offer, alongside a range of vocational courses.

Our Sixth Form Haywards Heath offers you the best of both worlds – a grown-up learning environment and a stimulating and supportive programme. You can choose from a wide variety of academic and vocational courses and even mix the two, to create a programme of study that’s just right for you.

We offer a multitude of AS and A Level programmes, as well as a range of vocational options, which you can study with fantastic results – our A Level students achieved a fantastic pass rate of 98% in 2015!

Our dedicated professional centre, which includes free parking and onsite catering, is easily accessible and offers a wide range of courses for business and career enhancement - including leadership and management, business, IT skills and health and safety training - all delivered by a team of experienced trainers.

The Crawley campus is one of our largest campuses and is situated in the heart of a busy commercial centre yet just a short ride from the Sussex countryside.  It is easily accessible by road and rail.

East Grinstead campus is centrally located in Queens Road.
